Plenty of coffeehouses and roasters in Vancouver, and I generally prefer to see new ones than one's I've already seen, but if the roast is good enough, the coffee taste takes priority over seeing something new.

I had such a good experience with a Matchstick's Kenya Kiawamururu in late 2013 that I decided to see their other cafe, not far from some Starbucks I needed to hit anyway.

The Ethiopia Cheracha did not hit the same heights as that Kenyan, but it was nonetheless excellent, and Matchstick remains on my list of coffeehouses I want to hit when I'm up in Vancouver.

Not a fan of the dearth of electrical outlets, though--I had to awkwardly ask a barista to plug my laptop in behind the bar. She did so, but I could tell she wasn't thrilled about it.
