After 3 months back in Portland, on top of the 10 months I spent here in 2011-2012, I only just now visit an independent coffeehouse in nearby Vancouver.

Torque Coffee Roasters has a sizeable and well-lit space downtown, where they roast and serve pour over coffees. I learned they used to serve Coava, but can no longer do so since they are roasting. Too bad, because I could only give their Panama Lerida Loma, brewed on a Kalita Wave, a 6.

I'll almost certainly come back to try other roasts, but my first experience was not spectacular.
