One of the delights of my third wave coffeehouse wisits is when I encounter an owner who is so passionate about the coffee that he will talk to me about it for 30 minutes, and James Jacobs of Magpie is just such a person!

Though initially disappointed that they had run out of Coava when I wisited, the Chemex-brewed Intelligentsia Ljulu Lipati was a mighty fine cup, and I look forward to returning to try some of their other offerings.
