The manager/owner at Coutume suggested a place on Avenue de la Bourdonnais, and after a bit of wandering around, I found Natur'elle Cafe, a tiny shop with just a couple of seats.

I was disappointed that there was not filtre coffee on offer that day, because the owner did not have any beans suitable for that (only for espresso), but he was super nice, and we chatted about coffee in Paris a while.

I went ahead and tried an americano, called a long black there, and it was not bad, but I have to return to give a Chemex a try.
