Decent pub food, great beer tasting for the beer drinkers in our party (I personally don't drink but they enjoyed the 6-shot glass tasting set). A bit noisy for kids who are sensitive to buzzing noise. Spacious, airy, nice place to spend time with friends.

Overpriced, under cooked burgers and a rude waiter. We were going to a play at Portland Center Stage and met up with two other couples for a quick dinner here because it was across the street. The waiter was unfriendly and aloof. I asked him if my son and I could have separate checks and he said yes, then promptly forgot and put us all on the same check with 19% added gratuity (because we were 6). I guess we could have dealt with the waiter's attitude if the food was good. I had a coconut bay shrimp salad that sounded so unique and appealing on the menu. Blah! Fishy tasting and looked like a scoop of chopped baby food on the plate. Anyone in our party who ordered a burger less than well done got rare. Order M = rare. It was too busy, it took forever to arrive, and we were on a schedule so we couldn't send back. On the upside, the beer and wine were good. I spent $50 for two people to have a decent beer and glass of pinot served to us by a haughty waiter.

The Black Butte Porter is seriously the best porter I've ever had, and where else could you get an elk burger? (The elk burger was also excellent though I of course have nothing to compare it to.) a bit expensive but with good reason. Plus our server was adorable.

This place is awesome. The beer selection is great and so is the food. Our waiter was really nice and attentive but not in-your-face. The building and atmosphere is very welcoming and I can't wait to go back.

I give the beer a 3 stars. The environment/pub/bar adds another star. This place is a great, but crowded, place to have a drink. The beers are decent and inexpensive. You'll probably have to wait if you want seat or table, though.

Friends and I came by to try their beer flight on our own food tour of Portland. You get to try 6 types of beer between 2 scripts, but it equals to about a pint and a half in total. We weren't a fan of their IPA, but then again we just don't like IPA in general so I can't fault them for that. Two that stood out to me were their Nitorious O.A.T which was as smooth as they can get and their Scarborough Amber. Of course we snacked on their curry fries and cheese plate while we tried their flights. While the curry fries smelled wonderfully (chalk that up to the turmeric) but the fries themselves were mostly soggy and their greek yogurt + olive oil mixture didn't really do anything to make it better. Perhaps a mustard based sauce would've been better. Their cheese plate was wonderful though. With great tasting pickled veggies, three types of cheddar (my favorite being the smoked goat cheddar), and an assortment of nuts and dried fruit. Oh and there were some kind of flat cracker, that one of us liked but the rest thought nothing of it. Well there you go! Great place to spend an afternoon just drinking, snacking, and having fun with friends.

Great pub food (the Elk burger was quite nice). But you're probably here for the beer. If you're not sure what to get, there are several sampler options. We came without a reservation on a busy night asking for a table for 7, and they somehow got us a table in 15 minutes (lots of tables to work with).

We're excited to update our bar next week but unfortunately that means we'll be closed June 8 to 11. Please come in on Friday the 12th to see the changes.
