I thought you might like to know that childhood favorite From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler is on sale from Amazon today in kindle form for only $1.99.

You might not have liked to know that, as, although I loved this book and it was an award winner, it never seemed to kept its popularity up over the years as much as, say, Maurice Sendak's books.

For under 2 bucks, however, you should give it a look.

My friend Richard X. Heyman is kickstarting the mastering and such of his new (tenth!) album. Richard's a terrific songwriter and musician (and a helluva nice guy), so I would advise you all to jump on this. $10 is not a lot for a great album, and if you feel like tossing a bit more at it, there are some nice bonuses. Seriously, I just heard "New RXH album" and I was in. I haven't even watched the promo video on the kickstarter page yet.

Download 14 great sci-fi stories by Philip K. Dick as free audio books and ebooks.

Not sure what else to say beyond that. Philip K. Dick's stories walk a masterful line between creative storytelling and near philosophy. If you've seen Blade Runner, Minority Report, or Total Recall you've seen some of his creativity in action.

If you love reading creative stories, you should check these out. If you like writing creative stories, you must check these out. He may not have been the most eloquent of authors, but there's a reason his stories continue to grow in popularity. #twt
