Towards a world with ‪#‎zerohunger‬: how can we make the world a better place by 2030?
‪#‎SDGs‬ ‪#‎Goal2‬ ‪#‎sharethemeal‬
Can we end hunger and poverty, halt climate change and achieve gender equality in the next 15 years? The governments of the world think we can. Meeting at the UN in September 2015, they agreed to a new set of Global Goals for the development of the world to 2030. Social progress expert Michael Green invites us to imagine how these goals and their vision for a better world can be achieved.

Teacher ‘Makhethisa Molapo explains the syllabus at Great Joy Preschool:
"We draw guidance from a syllabus developed by the Ministry of Education and Training for Early Childhood Care and Development. We teach the children about their identity, responsibilities and rights. They also learn to read, count, draw and write. Together we play games to promote interaction, learn new songs, practice story-telling, poetry and good healthy practices such as washing their hands before eating and after using the toilet."
With #sharethemeal, Great Joy Preschool is able to provide the children with WFP school meals.

Today is International Day of the Girl Child! 62 million girls worldwide do not have access to education. School meals can help change this; a daily school meal is a strong incentive for families to send their children to school and to keep them there.
