let me start out and say that our waiter patrick was fabulous. truly, truly fabulous. but the food was cold. we ordered the embargo and they gave it to us without pork bellies because they were out and didn't tell us. the manager who could be described as prickly tried to get us to pay for the three sandwiches since we are them. of course we are going to eat them when we wait a long time and have drinks. we only got one service of water. the street outside flowed with vomit and we seemed to be the only ones who cared about it. 0/10 would do again, I hope pat gets a better job

Service was great. Fun experience here. $11 ribeye special was good. Nice quaint place to hang out and grab a bite.

Worst restraunt experience I've ever had. Food was horrible, took a long time to come out despite the fact we were the only ones in the place, a mouse ran across the dining room floor while we were eating and even though the waitress was nice she stuffed up our order not coming through with one of the sides we had ordered. Steer clear, people. Don't let the fancy look and expensive prices make you think this place is any good at all!

Open drug use and marginal food/service Let me start out with a little background, we were a group of 18 coming in 35 mins before they stopped food service... But hey you are a restaurant, if you don't want $$$ and customers don't open your doors. Got sat quickly and waited 15 mins before our waitress came to see us for drink orders (will leave out her name for reasons that become apparent later). By this time we had been to the bar for our waters and $5 gin and tonics with Bulldog, major bonus for them! Orders were taken in no short order, and food took even longer to make it out. The food was decent but nothing to write home about at all, especially for those seeking exciting and flavorful experiences in NOLA. Here is where it gets good... We were all tired having just arrived in town and wanted to leave, we asked for the check which was presented to us. This is where we discovered that there were a number of items that came to the table but no one ordered. We ate them so there was no question we should pay for them. I walked up to the waiters stand to give our waitress our check where I found her holding a square of wax paper with fine white powder... are you f'in kidding me? The group was very dissatisfied with the service and our gratuity reflected this... I now have an extra $13 charged to my card that I guess the staff felt was due for their time. Take everything with a grain of salt, we had a horrible experience but there are some who will likely enjoy this spot a lot. I mean $5 g&t with bulldog??? Sign me up!

I have to disagree with the last few reviews on here. Lundi Gras evening - long waits everywhere else, but no wait here - and great food and drinks. Cucumber vodka, Sazerac and Mamas moonshine - and hanger steak tacos, red fish special and beet and goat cheese salad - all great. And good service!

The area is not that inviting but went for the food. The menu sounded great and pictures (their website) looked delicious. It was all a farce. The best thing we ate was the Boudin Balls. They were hot and fresh. Very delicious with just the right crunch. The bbq shrimp was just not edible. The shrimp was over cooked and so was the grits. The grits were more like mush. The red beans were not quite done and the rice was over cooked. Our fries with truffle oil was good but not really crispy. The waitress was attentive enough but then found some friends to hang out with for a little while. I am not sure the same chef is working there if comparing the reviews here and on other sites. I took my daughter out and was hoping for a good meal but it was not to be.

Tried to order beet and goat cheese salad but they were out of goat cheese. Tried to order another dish that featured almond butter but they were out of almond butter. Finally ordered crab claws, crawfish marigny and fries with truffle and Parmesan cheese. Fries came without cheese. At the end of my crawfish marigny I found what looked like a hair. Waiter assured me it was not a pube. I wasn't even thinking about a pube but he certainly gave me the mental image. He said it was a corn husks but we did not see any corn on the menu. The fries were soggy and the hair or corn husk grossed me out. Sorry but this place needs better management and better food quality. I wouldn't eat there again if it was free.
