Living Far From the Edge ...
I've been using Windows 10 for quite some time now. It's running on an "older" machine - a Dell Studio 1555 with one of the early duo core CPU's, the "Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo  T6600". It doesn't support hyperthreading (which is another problem for me), and ...

It's been over 15 years since I've been in a position to hire H1-B's. At that time you had to declare that:
no American citizens could be found to perform the work
the H1-B' s would be paid the same as an American would be for performing the same work.

Clearly Disney is not meeting EITHER of these requirements. Some one (or more) in HR needs to be investigated and fired ...

Typescript Turmoil in VS Code!

More Crap From Microsoft?
Sigh ... It just keeps getting worse. First, let me preface this with the disclosure that I have been developing on Windows (Desktop and Web) exclusively since 1994. For the most part, I think Microsoft's Developer Tools are the best available. While I will...

Recently, Dirty Harry made a speech on the Senate floor about the "racist" NFL. Apparently, he feels any reference to Indians is some sort of derogatory remark. You can read about it here . So, I did a cursory search on the interweb about Indian related nam...

The presidential oath of office contains the following affirmation:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States ..."
Article II Section 5 of the Constitution (setting the presidents duties and responsibilities) has:
"... he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed..."

Declaring "mass" prosecutorial discretion to decline to prosecute is NOT taking care that the laws be faithfully executed. He has deliberately failed to carry out his oath of office, and should be impeached.
There’s been a shocking turn in the enforcement of U.S. immigration laws.

Terrible! I brought in my cashmere sport coat. I needed it for my daughter's wedding. I picked it up today for the wedding today. ALL the buttons on the jacket had been broken - which I didn't discover until I brought the jacket home. I called them up immediately and they basically said they couldn't help. They couldn't do anything until the owner came in on Monday (this is Saturday), and the seamstress had left for the day. These folks will NEVER get any more of my business. If you're smart, they won't get any of yours, either.
