I went to the Kerryman for a networking event that was put on by a consulting firm trying to recruit individuals, so full disclosure I did not have to pay and don't know much about the prices. The bar itself is pretty neat. They have a ton of space, so getting a seat shouldn't be a huge problem. As far as Irish branded bars, this is one of my favorites in the city, as it's a little nicer than some of the Irish bars. I know that not everybody is looking for nice when they're talking Irish bars (read; dive), so be sure you know what kind of night you have when looking into coming here. This bar, like others in River North, seems to be more catered to the business/upscale crowd, however you wouldn't feel out of place if this isn't you. The appetizers were pretty good, and they have a good beer selection. They have a pretty nice sidewalk patio that's worth checking out too when the weather is nice.

It's pretty fun but gets a weird crowd sometimes. There's a downstairs Irish pub area and upstairs there is a dance floor and bar area. That's usually the most fun part

Great Irish downtown bar. Good bar eats. Recommend the buffalo chicken wrap. Good beer pours. Epic times on the dance floor thanks to awesome tunes by the DJ.

Love this place. Food is great, drinks are delicious, and staff is fantastic. Very welcoming. Sit on the patio when the season allows and be transported from a crowded noisy city, to a beautiful scenic garden!

Came here once for an after work happy hour and another time for dinner and had delicious drinks and food on both occasions. It's super accessible for River North workers.

I really like their fresh tuna salad - pretty amazing but everything else is nowhere near healthy at all. It's a great place to hang out in the summer and just relax on the patio section. It gets pretty packed in the evening. Like swinging by and the staff is always really nice!

Just got back from lunch at this place with some friends! We had trouble deciding upon the highly acclaimed blackened chicken or the fish and chips! In the end all three of us went for the fish and chips and a pint of Guinness. We were not disappointed! The presentation was especially cool, as you can see in the attached photograph. The decor here (at lunchtime) was bright and cheerful; the food astounding and the service staff very attentive. My only complaint was that the pricing seems a bit high. Fish and Chips is $17.00 and a small glass of Guinness will set you back $8.00. These are not prices that will make you return over and over again.

Very good liquor selection. Stopped in The Kerryman the other day in route to another location and had a Booker's Whiskey on the rocks for the first time. Its 121 proof and I felt every bit of it LOL. On Mondays they also have half priced wine or $5 dollar wine glasses. Just buy the bottle, you come out saving much more (Bottles range from 30 and up). Overall it was a good experience. Quiet atmosphere (though the couple next to us was loud). I would give it 5 stars but its a little pricey. Next time I go I'll try the food and update my review.
