Fun fact: the social convention of making a boy's room blue is actually more science than folklore.

We are able to percieve colour due to the millions of receptors in our eyes, of which there are 3 types: blue, red and green. In some animals they only have 2: blue and red.

A study has also shown that these animals also slept easier in dim blue light rather than in bright yellow light, coincidence that these are the only 2 receptors they have?

Could it therefore be that we are biologically wired to be more calm in a blue enviroment? Maybe a could enviroment to give a growing energetic boy in which he can get his well deserved rest?
