Tahiti Nui Restaurant
5-5134 Kuhio Highway, Hanalei, HI 96754
Tahiti Nui is a small casual bar/grille with outdoor and indoor seating. Overall, you can be fed and entertained, and it's not too expensive.

There is live music on Tuesday nights, which involves a man and a slightly out-of-tune ukulele (and a few missed chords), but overall the experience is pleasant and enjoyable.

We ordered baby back ribs ($20, well-cooked, pretty well seasoned, our favorite dish from the evening), pasta trepe ($18, OK-- nothing spectacular), sauteed shrimp on pasta ($28, OK again, nothing special and too expensive). The Mai Tai's are pretty good, not too sweet, not too strong and quite tasty :-)

Though we did not try it, the pizzas looked pretty good.

My thoughts on the DOD giving NASA two more-powerful-than-hubble-telescopes (as seen http://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/12/06/hey-brother-can-you-spare-a-hubble-dod-sure-have-two/258061/)
Nasa was just star gazing while we were attacked by hostile forces the DOD could not see. I recently read an interesting piece by Alex Madgiral, describing how. Our military had two, unflown, better-t...

Dear Chrome, please use DirectWrite. The only reason I use you is ChromeSync, users don't care that you are 0.01% faster than FF in your V8 benchmark, they do care that you sync important data and want to see fonts rendered well, on a GPU. The world is increasingly mobile, realize this and adapt.

Amen to this request... The font rending in IE9 is nothing short of beautiful by comparison to Chrome.

Had a great dinner here, fast service and reasonably priced.

For starters, we shared the calamari, it was wonderfully tender and crispy, some of the best I've had.

The Mahi Mahi stuffed with crab was delicious, if a tad too sweet, however the fish and chips, and the broiled fish salad was a tad dried out.

Three changes to +Damien Miller's code and developing Flask on Windows is finally relatively easy! Can't wait to convince more new developers to try Flask and web apps in python!

Great food and atmosphere to hang out and grab a drink to escape from the hustle and bustle. Our server was helpful and kind, the three curries we ordered were very tasty, and the beer was... Well, it is beer :) Great to see the landmark from the bombings, and where so much of Shantaram occurs.
