Game 3 at #Bordercon2015 is Joel Finch's prototype "Unfair" - a tableau-builder, and quite thinky.

Sunrise over Beaumaris Bay. First an HDR image, then a photo more true to life. Incredibly calm water - the waves are wake ripples from motorboats. And pelicans - they make a splash.

Bega. A missed money making opportunity, I'm sure.

Terrible pizza. Requested "very crisp". Pizza underdone and so oily the box has lost its shape. It arrived in roughly 45 minutes, so that's something.

Pleasant staff, but dinner woefully overpriced. Bought takeaway tonight. Entrée pizza & penne $24.50 (steep but reasonable) but the pasta was a half serve. I returned and they seemed bewildered. Meal was remade, a reasonable size with complimentary apple-pie. Excellent response - but very hard to recommend The Servery based on this experience.

Very clean and recently refurbished self-cater accommodation for a couple, with a sofabed for children if required. Small kitchen has all you need for a simple dinner or cooked breakfast, bathroom is small but excellent.

Portofino is located opposite the Glen Huntly tram depot, and parking can be a problem. But the food is excellent and the staff are marvellous. No EFTPOS (bring cash). Pizzas are traditional with a few embellishments, cooked with skill in a gas oven. Pasta is great. Service is fast, despite large crowds most nights.
