A gem situated in the heart of some of Portland's best shopping and dining opportunities. Impeccably clean, well appointed rooms with thoughtful touches and carefully chosen fixtures and furnishings. The Lucia has the best bed my wife and I have ever slept in; the mattress, linens, and pillows are quality. After explorations in the city, we enjoyed Lucia's photo collection from Pulitzer prize winning Portlander David Hume Kennerly and other regional artists as we sipped cocktails and decompressed in the hotel's cozy and inviting public areas. Above all else, Lucia's staff is probably the best reason to stay here. Everyone was genuine, thoughtful, and sincere in their efforts in making us feel welcome, comfortable, and at home. Hotel Lucia was a lovely experience for us and the perfect jumping off and landing point for our holiday get-away.

Great Hotel in downtown. The staff was all really nice and hotel room clean well put together. Rooms are small though, but not an issue for a couple or solo traveler. Only thing is, it's a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

We had a great time at Hotel Lucia. The staff was extremely nice, everywhere we went in the hotel was kept clean and the atmosphere was inviting and comfortable. One great thing is they have a "Beer hour, from 5:30-6:30 and it's free! The beer on tap was a white IPA, we aren't big IPA fans, but couldn't pass up trying it! We were there because our real estate agency had given us a one night stay in one of the standard rooms, when we checked in they told us they were upgrading us to their Gallery Suite. It was beautiful, spacious, and we absolutely loved it! What an amazing treat to be in such a great room!! We wish we could have stayed longer and will be back in the futuee. Location downtown is great to be able to go out for drinks and enjoy the Waterfront. We walked along the waterfront, had happy hour at the Portland City Grill, and stopped by a couple bars throughout the night. Everything was within walking distance, beautiful 30th floor Portland City Grill, Ground Kontrol Arcade and Bar, bar with pool tables, Splash Bar with dancing, and more! We highly recommend Hotel Lucia, thanks for a great night out before my school year starts again :)

Remember when hotel restaurants used to be nondescript places wedged into big buildings and seemingly their sole purpose was to capture the spending dollars of hotel guests? Used to be, when I’d be sent on business trips, the last place I’d think to eat would be at my hotel (except the time I was put...Read More »
