My latest interview; it's with Lightspeed Magazine. I don't remember what I said, but I remember I said a lot. 😬

Here's the first review of Binti: Home (release date: Jan 31st) from a major media outlet. Plus, Gary Wolfe is a tough, very thorough reviewer.

PS: It looks like my Binti publisher (Tor.com) is going through a Blue Period. So pretty!

Cover Reveal!

Here is the new cover for Akata Witch & its sequel forthcoming sequel Akata Warrior (Fall 2017).

And read a really thoughtful blog post by the illustrator Greg Ruth on race, artistic growth, and the process drawing a Nigerian American teen with albinism named Sunny Nwazue here: https://muddycolors.blogspot.com/2016/12/akata-witch-warrior.html

The real story about the stranded Nigerian astronaut has finally been reported.

With Guest appearances from Nollywood's Tchidi Chikere. This was originally supposed to be published by the BBC, but then it got lost in a shuffle of things (heh, not unlike the Nigerian astronaut). Glad this bit of news found a home.

"It turns out the scam letter was not all a scam. There actually is a Nigerian man stuck out there on a space station, he’s been stuck there for fourteen years and after recent events, he’s probably not ok...

You can now read the short story titled, "RUSTIES" by Wanuri Kahiu (director of the Kenyan scifi film Pumzi) and me at: http://clarkesworldmagazine.com/okorafor-kahiu_10_16/

We germinated this story on a mysterious night in Diani, Kenya as we sat on the porch watching the full moon rise over the Indian Ocean. It all started when we got to talking about those traffic robots in Kinshasa.
