'NS are the highly visible and obnoxious mammoth in the room making it far more difficult to get the other stuff done'.
NS will not raise achievement and neither will a 'wide ranging test protocol' ... excellent pedagogy will do that.
It's not even about 'getting the other stuff done' it is more about what skills we value that our kids will need as they move into their future.
What they call 'soft skills' - collaboration, creativity, innovative mindsets, problem-solving, connectedness, self management, decision-making, prioritising, digital citizenship, critical thinking etc. These are the skills future employers want.
