The Centre of Excellence for Publishing Training
Introduction

The Publishing Training Centre (PTC) provides cost-effective and high quality training for publishers in the UK and overseas. PTC (a not for profit organisation) grew from a small department at The Publishers Association more than 30 years ago and remains at the heart of the UK based publishing industry, with a wide-ranging portfolio that is constantly revised to reflect the changes in publishing. In 2011 more than 1,500 individuals from upwards of 400 companies, improved their skills and knowledge by engaging in a PTC course.

PTC courses are focused on providing specific learning outcomes that are designed to make an immediate, positive difference back at the office. We partner with publishing professionals to provide our course tutors; they are practitioners as well as teachers, which means that they bring their real-world experience to the courses they teach, enriching the experience for delegates and making the courses more effective.
