When OPEC’s new chief starts next week, he’ll take over an organization that’s largely reconciled internal differences after a two-year fight over strategy. But as oil prices sink again, that unity could be at risk.

Oil prices fell, pressured by slowing economic growth that threatened to increase a supply overhang of crude and refined products.

Wow ...They just now figured out that Trump is catastrophically unfit for office!

Good luck with that, Joe. As i recall YOU share some blame for legitimizing him in the first place.

I am taking the liberty of passing on part of a letter I received yesterday. Kenneth Penton writes,

"the letter I received from you December 15th which ends,

We know that Christmas may not a merry time for all of you, but please try to enjoy the upcoming holiday knowing that the tide is turning. We hope you can take some comfort in knowing we are continuing to work for you until this work is done. Good things are bound to happen."

Then Kenneth follows,
"... Everyday here is harder than the one before and sometimes it just gets to be too much. There have been times I have just wanted to give up. But since I received that letter, I've read that paragraph thousands of times and I can't convey the relief it gives me, let alone the strength. Just knowing someone is fighting for me encourages me to keep fighting. ..."

The details of Kenneth's plight become more disturbing, but the point is that anyone can make a difference in the life of an inmate. If you feel compassion, even YOU can make a difference. These are lost souls. No inmates are angels but they are real people and many deserve another chance, especially the nonviolent casualties of the failed war on drugs.

The picture to the left shows me on my 27th birthday- Oct. 23,1978. The 3 remaining are from March of 2003.
Introduction

I was born and raised in Midland, Texas.
I lived in Dallas, Texas from December 17, 1990 until May 1, 1999 . From the mid 80s to the early 90s l lived in Ruidoso, New Mexico. I earned an Associate Degree at Midland College, studied psychology at U.T.P.B. of Odessa and computer science at Richland College of Dallas. I also held a wide variety of jobs during my working years. Starting in January, 1992 I spent 14 years in the inventory business. This required quite a bit of travel ( over 200 cities, 5 states and 1 foreign country ). Currently I am retired, and dividing my time between Dallas and Ruidoso. My interests are many and varied. I enjoy books, movies , music , travel and most sports but especially the winter Olympics. I sing, play the guitar and compose music. My religious beliefs lean toward the New Age; My politics are Progressive. As I am sure you know, this is a presidential election year and I have my own platform. I am advocating ENERGY CONSERVATION and ALTERNATIVE ENERGY, DECRIMINALIZATION of DRUGS and STIFF PENALTIES for RAPE, CHILD ABUSE and ANIMAL CRUELTY. I am strongly OPPOSED to the "PRISON for PROFIT" system. I am strongly IN FAVOR of a $10 per hour MINIMUM WAGE. It should be UNLAWFUL for AMERICAN CITIZENS to hold assets in OFFSHORE TAX JURISDICTIONS. EVERYONE must cover his or her FAIR SHARE or the TAX burden in this country. Oliver Wendell Holmes, a Republican,  said "Taxes are the price we pay for living in a civilized society". Here are some books I recommend : TREASURE ISLANDS by NICHOLAS SHAXSON ; CONSUMER'S UNION REPORT on LICIT and ILLICIT DRUGS by EDWARD BRECHER ; THE FIFTIES by DAVID HALBERSTAM ; THE PRIZE by DANIEL YERGIN; WHEELS FOR THE WORLD by DOUGLAS BRINKLEY; DEMIAN by HERMANN HESSE; CHARIOTS OF THE GODS? by ERICH von DANIKEN; YOGA, YOUTH and RE-INCARNATION by JESS STEARN.
Here are some movies I recommend : JFK ( the director's cut ) starring KEVIN COSTNER; HIGH CRIMES starring ASHLEY JUDD; ARLINGTON ROAD starring JEFF BRIDGES; THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT starring MICHAEL DOUGLAS; PRIMARY COLORS starring JOHN TRAVOLTA; ENEMY OF THE STATE starring WILL SMITH; THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE starring DENZEL WASHINGTON; FOR YOUR EYES ONLY starring ROGER MOORE; FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE starring SEAN CONNERY; SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT starring BURT REYNOLDS and JERRY REED.
The only TV program I really like is PERRY MASON. I have the ENTIRE SERIES on DVD.
And please ...Don't even get me started on music that I recommend ! It is all too numerous to mention. Suffice it to say that I listen to EVERYTHING, and you should too!
Here is my basic philosophy of life:
We are here for just a brief period of time, and it is our duty to at least TRY to leave this world a better place than we found it. I urge everybody who reads this to GET INVOLVED !
P.S. PLEASE look at my PHOTO ALBUMS!
