Made some performance updates to my website (www.williammalone.com). Removed all but two images (my logo and photo) from the basic framework. Replaced social media icons with the help of "font awesome". Removed nav accents with the help of css triangles. Removed nav and aside text with the help of the Google font "Questrial". The hardest part of replacing the red stripe in the background of the page; I ended up using a data URI to replace the 45 pixel gif I was using as the repeating background image.
