what about the equivalent to # on G+?
Just followed some interesting public figures earlier today and already got exposed to a bunch of interesting things that would not be on my Facebook wall because I'm not friends with them.
Have others been following non-friends?
Also isn't this a Twitter competitor too (why aren't we hearing talk about that)? Platform to blast out info publically to followers. Yes its different in that the level of what you can share is richer in Google+ but Twitter is trying to get there anyways by adding native image and video viewing in their web client.
Could Google+ really be the best of both worlds? Or just too convoluted to make sense to the casual user? We shall see.

Most recently, I have joined SnappyTV as the Head of Products where I am working with a team building a consumer-focused service that allows viewers to create highlights of live TV and share them via social media. I am working closely with leading network broadcasters such as Fox and MTV. See my LinkedIn Profile for my full professional resume: http://www.linkedin.com/in/davidyun
Outside of my work in high tech, I am an accomplished artist. My work spans a variety of mediums including film/video, photography, social practice, and installation and has been shown around the world at venues such as the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD), International Documentary Festival Amsterdam, European Media Arts Festival, International Asian American Film Festival (New York), Sydney Underground Film Festival, Seoul International Film Festival, Documenta Madrid, and the Present Tense Biennial, an international survey focusing on Chinese and Chinese American art. Hold the Sun, a feature film I co-directed, debuted at the SF Int'l Asian American Film Festival in 2010. See my full artist resume here: http://www.davidmyun.com/about/cv.html
