maybe but it would be fun to search the content of all public posts...thats one of the things that is limiting about facebook...hard to find stuff. i guess thats what Google (not+) is for.

Thank goodness Google+ doesn't let people know what you've named the circles you put them in...I could see that being bad news. ;)

Pretty! I just want to weep when I see all these voluntary moves toward actual design. Fbook, however, seems to be moving in the other direction... They're going into full on more-clutter-must-be-better-freak-out-omfg-google+-shitballs-whaddawedo-idunno-put-more-of-this-shit-in-the-middle-of-the-page mode. Barfola.

Quick observation: My Stream is much more interesting on Google+ because of the ability to Follow anyone...

Just followed some interesting public figures earlier today and already got exposed to a bunch of interesting things that would not be on my Facebook wall because I'm not friends with them.

Have others been following non-friends?

Just Mark Z (and originally Steve Jobs before his profile was cancelled because so many people were heckling him). I do plan on following non-friends, but right now I'm just flowing with the stream!

Interesting how this its playing out. With Google+, anyone can add you to their circle without you approving. On Facebook someone has to request to be your friend. Not sure how I feel about that yet.

Also isn't this a Twitter competitor too (why aren't we hearing talk about that)? Platform to blast out info publically to followers. Yes its different in that the level of what you can share is richer in Google+ but Twitter is trying to get there anyways by adding native image and video viewing in their web client.

Could Google+ really be the best of both worlds? Or just too convoluted to make sense to the casual user? We shall see.

Story
Introduction
Since 2000, I have worked in a variety of roles in Development, Product Management, and Product Marketing. Starting as a developer at a start up called iHarvest that was acquired by Interwoven, I eventually became the Sr. Product Manager on TeamSite, Interwoven's Flagship Content Management platform. In 2003, I joined Macromedia to work on the Breeze (now Adobe Connect) product staying on through the Adobe acquisition. While taking a break to get my MFA degree from San Francisco Art Institute, I consulted for Adobe as a Community Manager working primarily on the community site ConnectUsers.com, building up the user group program, and developing training and resources for customers. I then worked at ConnectSolutions, a leading provider of web conferencing and webcasting, to lead a team building a suite of new real-time collaboration products for government and enterprise clients such as General Motors, US Department of State, and O'Reilly Media.

Most recently, I have joined SnappyTV as the Head of Products where I am working with a team building a consumer-focused service that allows viewers to create highlights of live TV and share them via social media.  I am working closely with leading network broadcasters such as Fox and MTV.  See my LinkedIn Profile for my full professional resume: http://www.linkedin.com/in/davidyun

Outside of my work in high tech, I am an accomplished artist. My work spans a variety of mediums including film/video, photography, social practice, and installation and has been shown around the world at venues such as the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD), International Documentary Festival Amsterdam, European Media Arts Festival, International Asian American Film Festival (New York), Sydney Underground Film Festival, Seoul International Film Festival, Documenta Madrid, and the Present Tense Biennial, an international survey focusing on Chinese and Chinese American art. Hold the Sun, a feature film I co-directed, debuted at the SF Int'l Asian American Film Festival in 2010. See my full artist resume here: http://www.davidmyun.com/about/cv.html
