With a location that is conveniently located near the USF Tampa campus, Jason's Deli on Fowler is my favorite place to go after school or before work. The employees deliver outstanding service and the food is excellent. Their menu has many options to choose from, so I recommend visiting their website and reading it before you go to the establishment. Also, because the deli is a popular lunch spot, it can become very busy during the lunch hours (12 p.m.-2 p.m.). Be sure to plan your trip accordingly.

The managers treat employees like fodder, and don't even care to listen nor lead. The owner (who owns this location, Clearwater, and the now closed Dale Mabry location) is a cold-hearted ass that closes a location with no prior notification nor the decency to call employees and let them know. Barely get any raises. A person I know has worked there for about 3 years and has only gotten a total of 35 cents raise. Also if any employee even whispers a rumor of why the other location closed, they will be fired. Really? I wonder if the CEO knows what is happening with these stores? I wonder if he would condone this behavior from managers? I used to work at the Dale Mabry location as well. EDIT: Let me add that one manager in particular at this Fowler store cause constant grief for the person I know who works here currently. Her name is Stacy, she insults and talks down to her like she knows nothing, and gets upset when she has questions. Yet when she makes a mistake because she didn't know something about the way they run their store she yells at her and humiliates her. This is NO way to manage, probably, the hardest damn worker you have. Treat your help better and maybe, MAYBE, I won't call your HR department for misconduct and poor treatment of employee's in the workplace.

Best salad bar around. Very busy at lunch like everywhere else around USF but it moves quickly. Would like to see more organic and healthier options. Also, the USF discount should really be every day considering they are a majority of your business, but after reading other reviews I'm assuming the owner is a penny pincher.

Hey, this place is great! I found it on google while looking for a sandwich shop open on Sundays (not too common). Their half sandwiches are a bit small but I don't eat a large amount of food, I was satisfied. I got half of the Smokey Jack Panini with the Russian dressing on the side (I wanted to try it before I committed to eating it on my sandwich, great for dipping), a cup of steamed veggies, baked chips, and a pickle (no drink). I ordered online and picked it up. I spent $7.50. Not cheap but it's really delicious food, well worth it. I recommend going when you're hungry, not if you're starving and looking for a big meal, a lot of food may cost more than you prefer (but maybe I'm just cheap). Lastly, try to time your pickup order perfectly, I was a bit late for mine and my food wasn't very warm because it had been sitting there for a while. I nuked it in the microwave when I got home, it was still perfect. Great food.

I have been thinking about deli for a couple weeks, so when I cruised by Jason's I pulled in. I did not realize until I came here to post that it is a chain, so I was surprised at the chain feeling of the place. I ordered a turkey Reuben & was unhappy to see that I was served processed turkey. The restaurant promotes its "natural" ingredients, so I wasn't expecting pre-masticated meat. The pumpernickel was very bland & pale. On the plus side, they serve a fruit salad as a side & the fruit was ripe, yummy & the portion was nice. The employees were are very friendly & helpful.
