I started going to Cafe Veranda about 7 months ago. The food is beyond excellent! The owners are absolutely amazing I have never heard them criticize or demoralise any specific person, race, religion, or lifestyle and they have treated everyone that comes into the restaurant, whether it is staff or customers as respectfully and compassionately as they treat me and my family. My family member who currently works there enjoys making the food as fresh as can be and has enjoyed learning new recipes and new methods of cooking. Everyone who goes into Cafe Veranda is family!!!!!!!!!

The place has had new owners since September 2014. This is their first business, and they have absolutely no business whatsoever being in the food service industry. The food is a bit above average, but all the credit for that goes to their food distributor, Ben E. Keith, because none of the food is made in-house, but comes pre-prepared, pre-packaged, and frozen; at most the kitchen does nothing more than assemble the components of a dish - it's equivalent to microwaving a Marie Callendar's frozen dinner from Wal Mart and marketing it as "fresh made Italian". Taking all this into consideration, their prices for each dish are a bit high, with the average cost of dinner for 2 being between $35-45, when you could spend half that at Wal Mart and make literally the exact same meal. Their food ordering/delivery system is confusing to anyone eating there for the first time. You order at the counter just like you would at McDonald's, seat yourself, and a server brings your food to you once it's ready. They don't allow their staff to keep any tips, yet pay them barely above minimum wage. All tips go directly into the owners' pockets. The owners try to be friendly and check on all their customers, but they have an awful habit of asking how everything is or if you need anything far too often, every 10 minutes or so, even with their waitstaff already checking, so they come off as intrusive and overbearing; and the attentive and friendly performance they give outwardly is really a poorly constructed facade. The husband co-owner is very homophobic, and looks for any excuse to fire or mistreat his gay employees because he "doesn't want people to think they cater to a certain lifestyle", implying that gays are less welcome in his restaurant than others. The one positive thing I can say about the place is that they're obsessive about complying with all food safety regulations, but that should be a given.

Great, tasty food at very reasonable prices. Lots of variety, too- everything from pizza to burgers to pasta. Nice, classy casual atmosphere. Plus, it's connected to Berri Liscious, a frozen yogurt and smoothie place.
