7 DAY RETREAT - TEMPLECOMBE, SOMERSET.

Mindfulness Relaxation & Qigong - Saturday 17th to Saturday 24th September 2016

“Relaxation or mindfulness individually, are only one side of the story. There is a key principle of reducing unnecessary effort. It combines with the four foundations of mindfulness. This becomes the single meditative process of Mindfulness Relaxation, a new perspective on the traditional Buddhist path of Satipatthana.”

Applying the ‘gears of relaxation’ appropriately, we’ll have lots of space and do lots of reclining meditation, then we’ll step up the relaxation in a natural way with Zhineng Qigong. £25/night, plus optional donation. Limited to 5 or 6 people. Meals included. Suitable for all levels of experience. To arrange a place please email vimokshadaka@gmail.com, or phone Patrick (Vimokshadaka) on 07879740578 - www.mindfulnessrelaxation.com

Zhineng Qigong is a Chinese non-diagnostic health training. It involves a meditative training in active relaxation during both movement and stillness in order to reduce unnecessary mental and physical effort. This leads to increasing health and power.

Learn how to employ the four foundations of mindfulness to enjoy deeply satisfying relaxation in standing, sitting and reclining postures. We will also try a few relaxation techniques and some simple qigong exercises to boost relaxation. Learn about the 'gears' of relaxation and build a good foundation of effective relaxation and improve health.

The aim of these methods is the ever increasing cultivation of mindfulness, relaxation and enjoyment. Unifying these three qualities naturally guides us towards deeply satisfying relaxation and well-being

Zhineng Qigong is a Chinese non-diagnostic health training system. It involves a meditative training in active relaxation during both movement and stillness in order to reduce unnecessary mental and physical effort. This leads to increasing health and power.

During the workshop you will learn how to relax correctly using standing, sitting and reclining postures and how to use the Gears of Relaxation. We will learn some easy to practice methods. These may include ‘improving the upper and lower spine’, ‘La Qi energy accumulation’ to help us get a feeling of chi, and ‘arm swinging’ to aid relaxation, qigong standing and walking meditation, and Qigong healing. I will also teach one to one to help each individual find a suitable level for their own practice and to correct posture. The aim of these methods is the ever increasing cultivation of awareness, relaxation and enjoyment. Unifying these three qualities will naturally guide us towards deeply satisfying relaxation and well-being.

Would any of you like to come and be my Guinea Pigs for the first Intensive Relaxation Retreat in Dorset, Sat. Oct 24th to 27th and 27th to 31st. You can come to the first or second half, or both. £160 for the full week or £90 for half week (I'm offering this at cost price since it's an initial trial). This price includes the cost of a 'Zero Gravity' recliner which you can keep, so if you can bring your own you can take this cost off.

Fingers crossed I'm going to have Yashodaka supporting me on the retreat! He's going to look after the 'higher order' stage of relaxation.
