Well, as expected, I sat through the second episode of F.Sky's yesterday.
This time I had my finger poised over the "fast forward" button on my PVR and you may be disappointed (but perhaps not surprised) to read that it got plenty of use.
I think there was about 30 seconds of "alien" footage in the whole episode, most of it being spent on playing out a bad version of a Mad Max 'You'll never take our Gasoline' scene. Why does our TV SciFi have to be so over-thought (Stargate Universe?) these days, rather than a simpler, more formulaic, yet engaging escape into the stars/mind of the fantastical? If shows really must aim for syndication, with 20+ episodes in a drawn out series, best follow the Scooby Doo format (aka, Star Trek, CSI, 24 etc.) rather than this over thought cr*p.
The good news is, with episodes like this I'm actually looking forward to next week, as it can only get better! Ho hum...
