I actually got to meet her last weekend at Salt Lake Fan Experience. She was very sweet but quiet.  We chatted for quite some time and signed some TZ story collections I had. It was a good experience.

This album is, hands down, one of the smoothest collaborations ever! I need to go dig the CD out.. Thanks for posting this.

Relaxing and warming up before I have to go to class this evening. Reading some short stories and working on writing. Also preparing more Authors' Advisory interviews.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to keep your zeal for writing and your productivity going when Real Life gets crazy and busy and it doesn't seem like it's going to calm down?

I deal with that all the time, Mike.  I find that the only time I can write anything worthwhile is when I am 'alone'. I hate being disrupted when I am on a roll, but it happens a lot. I get frustrated that friends and family members don't seem to understand that calling or disturbing me during my self allotted writing time blows my concentration and thus, it takes me at least 20 minutes to get myself back into the 'flow' of my story.
I've turned my ringer to low on my phone and told people not to call at certain times of the day unless it's 'important'. However, what they feel is important and what I feel is important varies greatly. So now I let the answering machine pick up 90% of disrupting phone calls.
I've also allotted myself a little room in our house that is 'My Space' for writing. When the door to that room is closed it's because I'm working and if anyone knocks or opens that door they better have a darn good reason for doing so.
I have found that asking people to give me the same respect and common courtesy that I give them helps them to understand. "I wouldn't call you at work to tell you about the cute little bunnies in my yard, please don't do it to me. What I do behind that closed door is my job, please respect that."
Tell yourself you deserve time to yourself to pursue your craft and then demand that others respect you for that decision.

The morning is in progress and I am catching up on reading and developing interview questions. I'm bound and determined to get back to Authors' Advisory one way or another.

I went with my wife to a Weird Al show in Boise, ID in 2011 and that man puts on a SHOW, seriously. Costumes and all, he gives it everything!  We even hung out and got to talk to him after the show.  He stayed talking so long, his tour manager had to tell him to quit hanging out with us so they could make their next gig.

I hope he comes back soon, I'd love to see him again.

LOL, We met him at a video store opening.  We were last on line and told Al my friend, Russ, was on Tom Snyder the same night.  He remembered him and we also started talking until his manage told him they had to leave!  We have a photo of Al, my husband and I and our toddler daughter that day.  She was very, very suspicious of him!
I still think Al would have come home and had dinner with us, if we asked and the manager wasn't there!
Glad he is still going strong.
