Our restaurant is located on the upper level of Copley Place and offers panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Boston’s historic South End. Here the views and the seafood are second to none.

Everyone said "Oh, your going to Boston? You have to try Legal Seafood." We did, and enjoyed everything. The atmosphere was cozy and the service and food was good. Our waitress Anastasia even used an iPod Touch to put in our orders. I thought was was cool and very effective. I even created my own drink and the bartender named it the Mexican Mafia. I ordered the lobster with crab and shrimp stuffing. It was good, but had way too much stuffing to really enjoy the taste of the lobster. I'd dine there again.

The amazing variety of choices of great seafood platters can be found here for a satisfying meal. Must be smart choosing the right plate, some are overpriced, but once in a while its great for a chance!

Food was OK but expensive and relatively small portions. It is listed as moderate price restaurant but it is really on the expensive side.

legals is pretty consistent and we like that they inspect all the fish -- quality is important here, and for fish, that is a nice assurance to have. very child friendly -- good, healthy choices for kids, along with coloring book and child cup. very good sides, always great rolls and chowder.

mediocre food and drinks. the place looks like a casino buffet. the filet was dry, shrimp dry, scallops chewy and the mashed potatoes tasted like they came out of a box. overall not good

One time I got a really bad lobster that I had to send back, but on other occasions the food was pretty decent. An extra star for the place itself - spacious, convenient and the tables at the window provide a nice "industrial" view over Boston. Overall, a good restaurant for family lunch. PS: I was pleasantly surprised to get an Italian-quality cappuccino with my dessert, kudos on that one!

We had a large group, so I understand that can be difficult for the staff. However, our server was very unfriendly and the overall experience was well below average. The Legal in the Philly Airport is very good, so I was surprised. The food was average.

I went there for lunch on May 24 following my son's graduation from law school. I ordered whole belly clams but what came out could best be described as clam strip remnants. I would have gladly settled for Mrs. Gorton. I suspect this chain had not received their fresh fish order for the day but it would have been nice to be told that so I could have ordered something different. As so often happens with places like this, you don't want to detract from the celebration by complaining so you keep your mouth shut.
