Odd..... but when I use goo manager to update the recovery it downloads 2.7.0.0. I guess the d2vzw didn't get updated yet.

So just a noobie question here.....I'm currently running the latest CM snapshot, and was wondering if the newer nightlies are more or less stable then an older snapshot.  I ask because being more recent I would assume that they are more stable but being nightlies leads me to believe they arent.  Also, if I want to "downgrade" to an ealier version of CM do I have to wipe delvic or can I just dirty flash.  Thanks in advanced for any help.

Ok thanks, come to think of it i really don't even have a reason for fog to one of the nightlies. I'm don't have any problems with the snapshot that I'm on. thanks though

+LiquidSmooth I've posted some questions about this on the general section but figured that I'd put it in the bug section. I'm currently on LS2.9 and tried to flash 2.37. I started getting a lot of flashing on the screen. Any thoughts from the Devs on this. I'm on a d2vzw. By the way, I love this rom! Thanks!

Update: I disabled Hw overlays and turned the screen brightness all the way up (disabling the auto screen brightness) and still had a flashing screen. For what I gathered I cilantro find any significant change or increase in features from 2.9 to 2.37 so I think I'm gonna stick with what I have for now.

I'm going to flash 2.37 over 2.9. This is the first time that I'm going to be trying a nightly and was just wondering if I have to do a wipe first. I was hoping not so that I don't have to reconfigure everything.

I flashed it last night and the screen started blinking really bad. I wiped then installed the rom, gapps, and titanium backup. Then I read the website which said to do it one flash at a time. So I'm going to try that today. Thanks for the help.

I'm going to be flashing carbon 1.8 does anyone know what version of Android it is? I've heard of people having problems when they flash to a higher version (like losing root). I'm really new at all this and just want to be sure. Once a flashed a custom touch wiz rom and now I can't go back to my old original rom. I'm currently on 4.2.2 android version running liquid smooth but really want to try carbon. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Thoughts on CPU speeds......... I just rooted and flashed liquid a week or so ago and have been playing with the CPU settings to try and extend my battery life.  I've found that bringing the CPU settings down to 702 and 384 while turning off sync really works good.  I had the governer on interactive for a couple of days but now I'm trying On Demand.  Anyone else care to share their experiences, or tips and tricks?   The screen shot is with 2 hours of on screen time.  FYI, I'm on d2vzw (verizons galaxy s3)

Same phone, same ROM, no experiment with CPU.

Just figured I would throw this out there. I'm on the 2-17 nightly for the d2vzw and lost WiFi. It wouldn't connect to any routers and when I would try to turn it off and on again it wouldn't even see any routers in the area. Turns out it was the "wireless display" under screen cast in the display settings. Once I unchecked that my WiFi started working again.

+Dan Pasanen I noticed that you work on the S3 and just had a quick question......I have the d2vzw, and tap and pay doesn't work for me...should it?  I'm still running 11-20140217 NIGHTLY.  (I haven't moved on to the unified builds yet cause I read that there is no more messaging app just hangouts and hangouts always gives me a hard time sending mms pictures

So I'm still on LS 2.9 on my d2vzw after a couple of unsucessful attempts to upgrade to 2.37.  Had a lot of problems with the screen flashing.  One thing that I noticed thought is that the camera was changed.  In the way that you access the settings for the camera that is.  On 2.9 all I have to do is touch and swipe in the middle of the screen and I have access to the settings, with 2.37 you have to use the settings circle off to the right.  I know its not that big of a deal, but I really find the 2.9 way of doing it much more simpler and quicker.  If I can finally get 2.37 to work (or better yet if kitkat works when +LiquidSmooth has released it) is there anyway to get the old settings method one the newer version?

Flashing should be simple. You should always clean flash. With 2.37 we changed a lot of the framework, and 3.0 will be the KitKat release with another rewrite of the framework. Also, the old menu isn't an option unless you know how to code it manually and build LS. Sorry.

I've tried to flash 2.37 a couple of times now and every time I get a lot of screen flickering. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, any ideas on how to stop it?

Anyone know the Android version of carbon 1.8 for d2vzw. I'm currently on 4.2.2 using liquid smooth and am looking forward to trying carbon. I'm asking because I've heard that people have had problems going from one android version to another (mainly losing root). If you this turns out to be a duplicate post I apologize, I don't think my first one went through. Thanks in advance for any feedback.
