Does anyone have an extra copy of Windows 8 that they can hook me up with? =)

I'm in Tokyo, Japan for a study abroad class! Tonight I ordered all this food in the Akihabara district for ¥550 (~$5.50 USD). It was a bit like fast food (I think it was a chain), but it had real vegetables with meat and it was tasty. Their miso soup was surprisingly less salty than the ones back home too.

Found this on the white board when I arrived to class. It was from the previous class. I'm lucky to be in art school.

I need some help!

I'm designing emergency water filtration solutions for earthquake disasters in my industrial design class. Good design requires understanding the user, so I'm looking for people that have gone through an earthquake situation and are willing to let me interview them. If you know of someone, or you yourself have that experience, please message me.

I'm flexible with the method of interviewing: Google+, email, Skype, text, phone, etc.

Thanks!

Testing the new 3D printing support in Photoshop CC. It auto-generates support structures/scaffoldings and also seems to 'smooth' the mesh. An STL file can then be exported to be printed. Both features are still in their infancy (scaffolding gets generated mid-air and the smoothing looks kind of blobby), but it's a good start.

Laser cut my first SketchChair! I designed to be small and comfortable for gaming in the living room and has a small area under the chair for storage. Costs $24 in plywood and took under an hour to set up and cut. It took a total of about 6 hours to learn the program, make a few different designs, and to finalize this one. The program is still early in development (and has a few bugs) but it works for simple designs.

The chair is actually comfortable to sit in but is a little unstable, shifting from side to side due to the design, which I did not foresee. A good learning experience though and hopefully my next chair would be more stable.

If anyone wants them, my design files are available for download here: http://www.sketchchair.cc/design/190

Made two foam pen models on the wood lathe for my model making class. The lathe is fun but the foam dust gets everywhere! A coat of primer was then applied to them.
