Joe’s ice cream is Richmond’s neighborhood ice cream shop! It has lots of flavors – all the classics and some Asian flavors such as green tea. We had rocky road, mint chocolate and toasted almond during our last visit. Oh for the fall, they have flavor of the month – pumpkin! Their ice creams are on the sweeter side, so I can only manage max a couple of mini scoops! Some flavors have unnatural colors (i.e. pistachio)....I tend to steer away from those. It’s a total neighborhood hangout spot, especially for families with young kids!

Joe's Ice Cream has classic flavors for traditional people. In case you like to be adventurous with flavors, there are a few ice cream flavors that may entice you. Go for there unusual flavors like wasabi, ginger, or blueberry cheesecake. For my orders, I love their cafe-rio, which combines coffee and oreo into an ice cream perfection. So delightful with the taste of bitter and sweet combined together. I try to sample other flavors, but I just go right back to cafe-rio. I remember toasted almonds was a good contender, but cafe-rio won out.

Everything here is great. However, they are so expensive. The ice cream is homade so that great, the chill cheese dog fries are great; but they charge so much for so little. Not really worth it. But it's good to get some good homemade once in a awhile.

Blueberry Cheesecake and Coforeo (coffee and oreo) were great. Good service, quaint place. Check it out when you are in the neighborhood dining on some other yummy food.

Good place for ice cream if you need a quick fix! And they got some pretty nice flavor selections as well. I got their chocolate fudge and it's solid. On this most recent visit though, got their double burger with fries, which again is exactly what'd you expect. The service is always quick and friendly! One thing to note is Visa and Mastercard are only accepted on orders for more than $7 without a fee ($.50 so not that bad).

Great family run ice cream shop with a terrific selection of flavors and some old-fashioned soda shop treats. Really love the ginger and the green tea ice cream flavors. And sometime you can watch them churn the next batch while enjoying your scoop.

Love their selection of variety of ice cream. I specially like the thai tea ice cream but they do not have it all the time;then, I usually end up getting pumking ice cream dipped in chocolate with is a .50 cents more. It is a home family friendly athmosphere.
