New #blogpost  up today, and it's a real goodie!
My mom is moving out of her office, which also happened to be a place we lived when I was a teenager. So, my husband and I went to go through some of the things that had been left behind over the years, and help my mom clean ...

It's here! It's HERE! #benandjerrys   #nondairy
Yesterday I went to the store and bought out all their corned beef brisket. Literally. Because it's just that time of year when I'm craving it so badly that I need to just....buy it all. As my daughter and I were on our store...

We visited our friends with four kids over the weekend, and it was BLISSFUL! #kids   #familytrips   #momlife
"It might be a little crazy," my friend Emily told me matter-of-factly. We had planned a long overdue trip to see our friends in Cumberland; and when I say "long over due" it had been over three years since we had seen one an...

This chicken and garlic recipe is divine, and seeks to answer the question of how much garlic is "enough" garlic? #garlic   #recipes   #bossywife   #cooking

What is it with parenthood nostalgia? I mean, yes, I get it, but what's with parents of older children imposing it on new parents? Early parenthood is overwhelming...you're all jiggly from the birth and your hormones are *rag...

Chicken & Garlic Recipe {A Garlic Challenge}
Me, my husband, and my best friend Paul all love garlic. When we dine together, we could chase vampires away from a vicinity of a couple of city blocks--of this I am sure. Earlier this week, Paul came over and he cooked us a delicious meal of turnip greens,...

Homemade Hoisin Sauce Recipe/ Hoisin Chicken
I have been really into cooking from Pinterest these days. While I love coming up with my own recipes, this last year and a half has been a bit of a black hole with learning to juggle parenting, being a wife, and working from home. It's been fun. And hard. ...

I love both Bethany Blues locations (Lewes and Bethany), but this location is nice because it's a little more intimate, with the same awesome food as the Lewes location. Friendly bartenders, great staff, and located at the Quiet Resort beach of Bethany, this is my go-to spot for barbecue at the beach! Whether you are looking for juicy pulled pork, yummy pigs on the wing, or a nice place to brunch on Sunday, this is the place for you and your family. One of the things I love about Bethany Blues is that it's very family oriented, and I never feel out of place bringing my daughter. While their barbecue classics are always a hit with the family (especially my husband, who is a huge brisket fan), don't be afraid to branch out and try some of their more adventurous fare. The chefs are amazing, and are putting some fantastic twists on barbecue favorites! MUST TRY!

Bethany Blues BBQ in Lewes is more than great BBQ (which, let me tell you, it is GREAT BBQ). The atmosphere is really friendly and inviting, and the staff is awesome. They have great specials, and are kid friendly--all pluses. But what you should really go in for is their innovation in the bbq/comfort food arena. Chef Mike Rieley and his team are cooking up amazing food that marries classic barbecue with modern culinary know how. My husband and I attended a six (yes, six!) course bourbon dinner in November that blew our minds. From silky soups to a whole pig stuffed with lamb and a homemade cornbread stuffing, to a pumpkin cake, and some of the best bourbons you will find anywhere--this place is up and coming. If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and give them a try. Also worth the mention, is their Sunday brunches, which are my favorite! My husband attacks the Pigs on a Wing (hot and spicy ribs that we could eat by the boatload), and I love brisket carving station, but all their food just hits the spot.
