I've fixed the issue with compiling libunwind, but now I'm seeing another error when compiling using clang that points to some missing headers:

error: unknown type name '__size_t'

The code throwing the error:
typedef __size_t size_t;

Any ideas?

Are there recommended environmental variables to use for building with clang in Termux?

I'm attempting to build libunwind and the linker is failing with 'undefined reference to…' errors.

Is there a Termux package that emulates the behavior of ldconfig?

Again, working on a port and the build script calls ldconfig like so:

if ! [ -x "$(command -v ldconfig)" ]; then
echo "ldconfig is not in PATH, trying /sbin/ldconfig."
LDCONFIG_COMMAND="/sbin/ldconfig"
else
LDCONFIG_COMMAND="ldconfig"
fi

[ -z "$($LDCONFIG_COMMAND -p | grep libunwind)" ] && say_err "Unable to locate libu$
[ -z "$($LDCONFIG_COMMAND -p | grep libssl)" ] && say_err "Unable to locate libssl.$
[ -z "$($LDCONFIG_COMMAND -p | grep libcurl)" ] && say_err "Unable to locate libcur$
[ -z "$($LDCONFIG_COMMAND -p | grep libicu)" ] && say_err "Unable to locate libicu.$

Is it possible to colorize the bash shell output for commands like grep in Termux?
I've tried setting GREP_COLORS along with CLICOLOR=1 and GREP_OPTIONS without success.

That worked. Thanks!

Are there guidelines anywhere for submitting ports to Termux for distribution via apt?

I checked the main repo on Github as well as the Termux website and didn't see anything.

Is there a termux utility or package that's an alternative for tput?

I'm working on a port and one of the build scripts uses tput to test if the terminal supports color, like so:
# see if it supports colors
ncolors=$(tput colors)
if [ -n "$ncolors" ] && [ $ncolors -ge 8 ]; then
bold="$(tput bold || echo)"
normal="$(tput sgr0 || echo)"
black="$(tput setaf 0 || echo)"
red="$(tput setaf 1 || echo)"
green="$(tput setaf 2 || echo)"
yellow="$(tput setaf 3 || echo)"
blue="$(tput setaf 4 || echo)"
magenta="$(tput setaf 5 || echo)"
cyan="$(tput setaf 6 || echo)"
white="$(tput setaf 7 || echo)"

Basically I'm looking for something that woukd generate similar output.

EDIT: for other clusers like me…ncurses-utils contains tput.

tput is already available in Termux.
Do : apt update && apt upgrade

Is there a way to roll back a package update to the previous version?
I looked though the apt manual but didn't see anything helpful

+objectiveCyd Ok, let's hope there is an updated node.js package soon (you can ping me as soon as it's available and I'll package it up)!

+objectiveCyd Yea, that's true. I did get to come in whenever I wanted to yesterday instead of bring forced to sling myself in there at O-waaaa? O'clock. Worked at a Walmart photo lap at my old job and they would pull this move of stay till 11 then come in at 4 the next day. Had to prep chemicals it's a wonder I didn't start a EPA insident.

If I'm building autoconf (which has Perl dependencies) and get the following error

truncate not implemented at ../lib/Autom4te/XFile.pm line 280

does it indicate a problem with the existing installation of Perl, a problem with the build (configure issues, etc) or something else?

Note: The ../lib/Autom4te/XFile.pm is in the autoconf build dir.

Additionally, here's the relevant code in XFile.pm

277 sub truncate
278 {
279 my ($fh, $len) = @_;
280 if (!truncate ($fh, $len))
281 {
282 my $file = $fh->name;
283 fatal "cannot truncate $file at $len: $!";
284 }
285 }
