I stayed for a night here in this hotel during the week, and if I could give half stars I would. The location of this hotel is amazing for anyone who is working in silicon valley or has an event at the convention center as it's attached directly to the hotel. Here is the review for all aspects of the hotel. Parking: 4 stars Parking is free, there is a surface lot in front of the hotel that is shared with valet, there is a parking structure behind the hotel shared with the convention center that has ample parking when the surface lot gets full which is inevitable especially after 3pm Reception/Check-in: 5 stars The front desk is extremely helpful and doesn't miss a beat. The new text concierge is really cool and convenient Room: 3 stars Most of the room has been renovated, but that ends at the bathroom. The rooms are small and some things are really crammed such as the sitting chair and ottoman between the desk and bed. The bathroom is in dire need of a remodel Food: 3 stars The regency lounge has coffee, tea, and water offered to all times. Breakfast is a continental breakfast with one hot item such as pancakes, Dinner has lot of cold snacks with one hot dish such as salmon and rice. There is an honor bar, cookies, and desserts offered. The food is good, nothing spectacular to rave about but not bad either. Overall the hotel is good, nothing spectacular, but a good hotel for convenience.

The service and facility was great. Their restaurant, TusCA was exceptionally good. Pricey, but worth it.

Safe is mounted in a drawer, which isn't robust. The room has no wardrobe and desk wasn't really clean. The lights are poor and there is no central switch at the door, so each of the 5 poor lights need to be turned on and off seperately each time. Not enough elevators and several times with a queue.

Zero food or drink options outside of the hotel bar (which is very poor). Service is slow and drinks are watered down. Staff believes their computer is infallible - even there is NO way you parked a trailer with valet that took up 13 spots, they expect you to pay it because the computer said it was true. "Sir, you will need to prove you didn't park a trailer with us" - how do you do that exactly? Room was as expected and up to standards. However, the experience would prevent me from ever staying at this hotel again.

Okay rooms and service. Clean. Polite staff, a bit slow responding to requests but come through like champs. Pool door malfunctions.

Decent room with a reasonably comfortable bed. Decor and fixtures trendy and fancy. Not my taste, but still nice. Hallways a little shabby--they could really could use a fresh coat of paint. The truly annoying thing is they charge separately for WiFi. It's 2014 and it's the heart of silicon valley. So this is like charging for electricity! Please, Hyatt, include this is your room charge and raise your rates if you have to! Business travelers hate this little surprise. One more dang thing I have to add to the expense report. Turns out you can usually get the Wifi charge waved by signing up with their rewards program but still it's ridiculous.

The internet takes a bit to connect depending on your wireless policies, but once you connect it is faster than my home internet. At the time of writing I am getting 100/50 with 30ms latency on wireless. The hallways, whomever chose the wallpaper should not be choosing it again. It looks very dated and filthy, and I would guess it's not as old as it looks. The rooms, AC blows on your face while you're trying to sleep and the fridge is noisy, but the bed is very comfortable. Seriously $4 for a bottle of water, but the coffee next to it no charge. A bit of clean up and change the AC ducts and we'd have a winner, but they need to sell a lot more water to cover the updates.
