My favorite bike shop. Always an air pump on the sidewalk and any tools you might need are free at the desk. Tubes for $7, and you can always pay for repairs to be done for you.

The Community Cycling Center is my go to LBS. They offer a great selection of gently used bikes and parts with a great staff of people who can do anything you need. The Community Cycling Center is a great shop that wont give you a heart attack from sticker shock and wont make you feel uncomfortable if you're less than knowledgeable about the difference between a brazeon and a bottom bracket. Whether you already love bicycling or are looking to get into it, the Community Cycling Center is the best example of an LBS doing everything right. I highly recommend them.

No one seemed interested in helping me. The staff was somewhat stand offish and were not particularly helpful. I needed a bike part fixed, they gave me an estimate then said it would be two weeks before they would have time to do the repair. I just bought the part and got another shop to do it that day. Additionally, the way they sell used bikes with the price of how much it costs to fix it seems odd. I witnessed a dad trying to buy a kids bike and wanted to tell him he could get a new one for the same price.

If you want to spend $850 on a used bike this is the place for you. I prefer a new bike with a manufacturer warranty for that price, but hey I guess I'm just old fashioned. They also sell "as is" used wal mart children's bicycles for $75, this place was built to gouge unsuspecting hipsters.

Love these folks. I always get an enthusiastic response to my (sometimes dumb) questions about my ride and have learned a lot from the folks on staff. Cheers.
