Serving the greater South Jersey area.
Introduction
2010 marks the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America.  Through the dedication and devotion of tens of thousands of wonderful volunteers, we've provided positive life changing experiences to hundreds of thousands of young men and women throughout South Jersey.

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America has always been, and continues to be, to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

The Scouting movement provides an outstanding program for young people preparing them to become the leaders of tomorrow.  Beginning with Cub Scouting (boys from first grade to the age of 10), then transitioning into Boy Scouting (boys age 11-18), and into Venturing (co-educational program for young adults age 14-21), our programs are designed to deliver the aims of Scouting; Character Development, Citizenship Training, Physical and metal Fitness, and Leadership Skills, to our youth through safe, engaging, age-appropriate activities.

In addition, the Garden State Council offers young adults (male and female) age 14-20 several opportunities to explore various career interests while building a professional network, at an early age, through our Exploring program.

The Council also offers an in-school Learning For Life program that assists teachers in developing life skills and character in their students in their classrooms.  Developed by educators and administrators, the Learning For Life program consists of ready-made lesson plans and recognition items that fit into the teacher’s current syllabus.  Detailed lesson plans exist for all levels from Kindergarten through 12th grade and include components for special education classes.

The Garden State Council is proud to be recognized as the premier provider of youth services in South Jersey, reaching tens of thousands of Scouts through the tireless dedication of thousands of volunteer adults.
