The State Street Cemetery in Hamden, some of these markers date back to the late 1700s.

A Coral Time-Lapse

It took 9 months and 150,000 images for University of Queensland Marine Biologist Daniel Stoupin to create a 3 minute long high-magnification time-lapse video of corals. All that hard work has resulted in a stunning perspective on the life of #coral reefs, which can often be overlooked due to their motion only being detectable at different time scales compared to ours. This illustrates why time-lapse is such a valuable research tool for marine ecosystems.

The decision does away with a smorgasbord of fees and review processes state utilities had required of any customer who set up their own solar generation system with battery storage attached.

Excellent care but very expensive. They are quick to heap on charges. On the other hand, this is a place run by animal lovers willing to take on tough cases. As emergency care goes, they have done a great job with both my cats. For routine care, I transferred to a less expensive vet.

Outstanding. The vet here saved my cat's life several times. My first cat had UTI issues and needed major surgery. The vet sewed him back up perfectly and my cat's health has been excellent since. The ER service is wonderful. I showed up there several times in the middle of the night with a very sick kitty. The staff was attentive, kind, and helpful. They offered me the low cost solutions first. I have since moved far from this area so I no longer bring my cats here. For major procedures and emergencies, I highly recommend this vet. However, the record-keeping seems a bit problematic. The staff tried to charge me for a visit I didn't make. Only after they double checked their records did they realize they had sent me a bill for someone else's pet visit. The bill clerk's initial assumption was that the bill was right and I was wrong. I was baffled that they wanted to charge more than $100 for a visit I did not make. This is the only time that happened and I doubt it reflects the typical experience of most clients. That was the only issue I ever had for them. If you get a bill in the mail from them, think twice. Most clients pay the bill in full at the time of service, so you should not be getting vet bills in the mail.

This Walmart is much improved. There are always lots of people, but they have more cashiers than they did two years ago. Some of the salespeople are very friendly and helpful - -especially in the arts & crafts section and the electronics section. The greeters out front are very helpful too. One went to get me a cart when he saw me carrying a heavy box. I didn't even have to ask for help. : - )

These guys know a lot about the phones and the broadband service, but they always push me to buy expensive unnecessary accessories. There's a better store across the street, between Xpect and Home Depot. They'll help you even if you don't buy anything.

Perfect atmosphere. Highlights are the red lentil stew (a medley of flavors), avocado and hummus sandwich with beet and carrot salad, barbecued tofu, curry. Yum, yum, yum... The chef/owner, Christopher, also makes amazing protein shakes. Sometimes they have beet cake and pure cocoa cupcakes that light, fluffy, scrumptious. The restaurant has a buffet of food ready to serve with many selections. If you order, it takes quite a bit longer, bu the food is made with love.

This is a great eye care center. The eye guy is kind, humble and helpful. You get more than your money's worth.

I needed to have the transmission gaskets replaced on my 2000 Honda Civic. I brought the car in on Monday, picked it up Thursday. The car now drives better than when I first bought it. The mechanics were very polite, explained everything in detail and have been working on Hondas since Americans first start driving them. It gives you a certain comfort level. Location is near the Department of Motor Vehicles in a decent neighborhood.
