Nokia 6 takes the One Plus 3T in this camera shoot out. Called this one too! All this in their entry level device, imagine what they will do camera wise with the flagship device that they have coming down the line. Well done, Nokia.

And everyone said this phone was going to suck because it was using a Snapdragon 400 series chip. I wonder what they will say now??

Interesting, so Google was likely home of all those Moto engineers laid off last year. Lenovo's loss became Google's gain it seems. #pixel
Last September, Motorola laid off hundreds of employees at its Chicago headquarters. Many were hardware engineers...

Hmmm, 2017 is here but not a word from Lenovo about a possible Moto X for 2017. Does this mean that Lenovo plans for the high end Moto G Plus to fill the space of the former Moto X?

The best outcome, GV get RCS support via a real RCS client native app (first real update to the platform in years since Hangouts support). Minimum win, Google Messenger gets GV Support. Placebo win, the GV website gets a Material Design face-lift.
After prematurely releasing a banner on the Google Voice website that said "Try the new version of Google Voice," Google has confirmed to The Verge that they are working on new updates to Google Voice. Specifically, the company states:

"Sorry, it looks like we must have dialed the wrong number! But don’t worry, this wasn’t a prank call. We’re working on some updates to Google Voice right now. We have you on speed dial and we’ll be sure to share what we’ve been up to just as soon as we can."

While we still don't know when we'll see these new updates, it's nice to see that Google won't be abandoning Google Voice any time soon.

Yesterday we saw a banner advertising the new Google Voice pop up on some devices. Now Google has commented that yes, they're working on improvements for Google Voice.

Lauching with Nougat? Seems that Nokia and their licensed hardware partner are off to a great start at the jump.

HTC just needs to give up, the only way they are gonna "survive and strive" is they will have to take Moto's old playbook and make budget buys. They cannot hope to realistically compete with the likes of the OEM flagship makers ie Samsung, Apple, LG and Huawei, Xiamoi, and ZTE nipping at their heels on the back end.
Design reminds me a lot of the LG V20
A new report claims to know some hardware details about the unannounced HTC One x10. The successor to the One X9 is rumored for a Q1 2017 launch.

Man, I wish Rohan Blake was still here on G+, everything from Google becoming an OEM, to Google Voice getting a second life outside of Project Fi, to Google bringing Android One to the US, I have been screaming for since forever and these have come to light. Only thing that didn't happen was Google doubling down on Hangouts which looks like will not be happening.

Regardless in my mind, Pichai is definitely the best CEO that Google has had to date, he definitely brought Google to the next level. Awesome'ness.

P.S. Yea, Lenovo-Moto I'm breaking up with you. Its not you, its me...I'm on "One". ;-)

I saw this on the website for the company "Burner"'' taking shots at Google Voice. It seems they and another company called "Listen" are taking shots at Google releasing a SMS/MMS native app for iOS & Android which all the best and whistles of GV just without far less hoops to jump threw. Right now Listen is only for iOS and Burner will let you port in a number but you cannot port it back out for now. So if Google disappoints with this upcoming update remember you have options now.

Has my prayer to the tech gods been answered?? Is this be a sign of better things to come?? Not only the site needs an upgrade but the GV native app needs a major overhaul or at least Google Messenger needs to get some GV support. I feel the overhaul won't really happen so I'm hoping for Google Messenger-GV support
Good news?
At least that's what Google tells us when we visit the Google Voice website.

This is dope, but I still want Google to bring the Google Assistant to Chrome OS and Hangouts (where is should have debuted at).
Since launching, Google Assistant has been limited to Allo, Pixel phones, and Google Home. Now, Google has announced that over the coming months, Assistant will be coming to all Android TV devices running Android 6.0 Marshmallow or higher. Here's some of the things you will be able to do with Assistant on Android TV:

*Play content: “Play Stranger Things on Netflix.”
*Discover content: “Search YouTube for Jimmy Kimmel." You can also ask a follow-up if you’re interested in more videos by saying: "Play the second one.”
*Get answers: “Tell me about Jurassic Park?”
*Set the right mood: “Dim the lights.”
*Get ready for your day: “How long will it take to get to work?”

In addition, Google says that the new SHIELD Android TV will be the first device to offer a hands-free Assistant experience--- all you have to do is say "Ok Google." Finally, Google has teamed up with Daimler and Hyundai to bring custom commands for Assistant. For example, you'll be able to say "Ok Google, ask Mercedes how much gas is in the tank."

#AndroidTV #GoogleAssistant
The Google Assistant will soon be coming to even more surfaces, ready to help answer your questions and help you get things done.

I am a fan of the Honor X devices, the hardware is killer for the money but I have to killjoy on this because the Honor 6x is debuting with Marshmallow after Nougat been out over 6mos as well the Honor 5X which debuted with Marshmallow last year has yet to be upgraded to Nougat. Like cmon?!?!
The Honor 6X has officially been announced in the US and features a 5.5-inch display along with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM, while featuring a new dual-lens camera setup.
