Today's lesson aim is to evaluate and assess the mindset of believers.  Believers are encouraged in the Word to be careful how we present ourselves to God and each other. In addition, we should be fully aware and able to discern the struggle between flesh and spirit which affects how we live our lives. (Reference: Romans 12:1-2). Enjoy the lesson! The greatest challenge we as believers will face in this day and time is staying in the will of God.  Everything in life is not a struggle, but every struggle is a part of life. (Romans 8:28).  When the Apostle Paul speaks to the Corinthian church about staying in the will of God, he conveys a very important message to them. He reminds them that the church has been created to overcome trials and tribulations, persecution, and earthly temptations. (II Corinthians 4:7-12)

The Apostles Peter and John make a very bold statement before the high priest and Jewish leaders for the record that God will not accept any substitutions for obedience. (Acts 5:24-29)  There is a major disconnect in the hearts and minds of believers that God has somehow or another lowered HIS expectations and given us the freedom to do what we want, when we want. Apropos, current economic, financial or medical disparities should not deter us from God’s path of righteousness.  Neither should the struggles we face in our everyday lives cause us to disengage from living by and in God’s divine will for our lives. (Philippians 4:11-13). Enjoy the lesson! Please feel free to ask questions or comment!

Today's lesson aim is to clarify the truth about salvation. We will learn the facts about how “those that believe” receive the gift of salvation.  Paul further explains that there’s nothing else required of an individual to be saved other than confession of the mouth and belief in the heart. (Reference: Romans 10:9-10)  Many Christians believe the Holy Bible is the authority that governs spiritual issues and religious matters involving believers and non-believers.  However, Christianity is not a religion.  Subsequently, by secular definition Christianity is a monotheistic religion based on faith in God and Jesus Christ.
