Welcome to my Google+ page, everyone, which I obviously don't use very much. I'm considering changing that, but in the meantime you can follow me in the various places:

You can support me and get a short story every month on Patreon: http://patreon.com/carradee

Can't afford ≥$1 per month or want MOAR? You can find me on various e-book vendors or:
https://wattpad.com/user/carradee
https://tapas.io/carradee

Interested in Patreon but not my rewards tiers? Let me know what would draw you.

Enjoy!

Does anyone else make their own calendars and languages for their books? I'm a big fan of Holly Lisle's Create a Language Clinic for developing a quick, organized foundation for the constructed languages.

I tend to draw on language a lot in my stories, but my epic fantasy really has the most right now. The stories include some outright use of constructed languages, and it indirectly describes many more, based on the PoV character's knowledge or lack thereof.

Anyone else use conlangs? If you do, do you see languages as a main ingredient, as seasoning, or as something else?

Hello, everyone. I'm an author (fiction and non-fiction) and freelancer (writer, editor, web developer) who likes keeping an eye on divergent fields of information to tease out implications and applications that can be bridged from one area to another. Thus why I walked in. :)

How's everyone doing?

Do you, too, wanna know about the types of editing and what they do? That's why I wrote "Realities of Self-Editing" https://books2read.com/u/m20J7b

I've had a few folks lately see my chatter on the Interwebs and ask for a link, so here's a public one for everyone who's interested. (If not, np.)

Hi, all. I'm an author who self-publishes who is wandering around Google+ communities, at the moment, looking for places to hang out. :)

Anyway, I write and publish a variety of things, fiction and nonfiction. My fiction tends to be genre blends in the "dark speculative fiction" family, and my nonfiction tends to be tutorial. I release on various e-book vendors, Wattpad, Patreon, and (most recently) Tapas.

I've been having a rough few years and—Lord willing—am finally hitting a point where I can schedule writing and releasing e-books regularly again. Thus why I'm looking for self-publishing communities. ^_^

(In the interest of full disclosure—I do provide editing, formatting, and webdev services, but that's not why I'm here. My specialty is niche/custom work that well beyond the scope of what is needed for most publishing projects and is definitely not something you want if you're bootstrapping or focused on budget.)

How is everyone? :)

"Someone else's problem" doesn't get anything done.
