Looking to expand your fundraising efforts? You may want to check out CrowdRise. Co-founded by Edward Norton, Robert Wolfe, Shauna Robertson and Jeffery Wolfe who set out to raise about $75K for the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust and ended up raising $1.2 million. They took the lessons they learned and created CrowdRise to help others.

CrowdRise says they are an “innovative, cost-effective online fundraising website for individual fundraisers, non-profit fundraising and event fundraising.  Raise money online for charity and have the most fun in the word while doing it.”

Although they have been around for several years I only recently discovered them. I had fun exploring their website www.crowdrise.com and am interested to see how it develops.

I've tried on both Chrome and Safari browsers.  Any help on what I'm doing wrong and how to post this would be much appreciated! Thank you.

First I've hear of the period suggesting anger in text messages. This not only means that I'm old but also that the people I text must think I'm awfully angry!

Looking for more engagement on your membership website? Here are a few tips that have been proven to be successful by the Mount Pleasant Business Association.
Is your membership website a ghost town? If so, here are 4 tips that led to website success for the Mount Pleasant Business Association (MPBA)!

1. Focus all of your website launch communications on how your members will benefit

Many website launch announcements focus on how the new website will benefit the organization. However, by connecting the launch to your members’ desires you will create much more buy in and excitement.

2. Recognize members that are actively using the website

Everyone loves to get more positive press for their business. This is especially true when it’s free! Utilize your social media, and newsletters to promote members who are active on your new website.

3. Give prime time to the new website at your meetings

Make time at your meetings to talk about your new website and guide your members through making their profiles. This will help members who are not computer savvy or have little time to create a profile, feel comfortable.

4. Provide additional training and resources for your members

Most members aren't tech savvy. So, make sure you give them plenty of guidance on how they can use and benefit from using your website, along with the online tools from MemberFindMe.

Check out our blog to learn more and see how MPBA utilized these tips http://memberfind.me/category/secret-confessions-of-an-ed/
