Rhodes replaces Dick Mandeville, who after serving Whitworth for 25 years, will step down as vice president and dean of students on Aug. 1. Mandeville will serve as special assistant to the president through Sept. 30, to aid in the transition.

Thank you, Dick, for your years of service to our students and campus community, and congratulations, Rhosetta, on this appointment!

Bob Goff, a best-selling author and the founder of Restore International, will address Whitworth’s Class of 2015 during the university’s 125th undergraduate commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 17, at 3 p.m. at the Spokane Arena, located at 720 W. Mallon Ave. Goff will speak to approximately 622 undergraduate students receiving degrees this year.

Whitworth President Beck A. Taylor will speak at the graduate commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 16, at 10 a.m. in Whitworth’s Cowles Auditorium.

Sam Director, '15, a philosophy major, will leave quite a mark on Whitworth's campus after he graduates this May. In spite of all his success as a student, Sam says he could not have done it without the strong encouragement and support of the university's faculty and staff.
