Despite the opportunity to snap a few interesting shots and "check Africa off my continents list," I definitely wouldn't return to Tangier. It's a stressful city where westerners are hassled constantly. The wonders of Spain taunt from across the strait.

Oh man, we tried to rock the Kasbah (ancient castle). But this was about as close as we got before all the "local guides" got so intense that we gave up and turned around.

Gibraltar is a magical British Overseas Territory carved out from the southern tip of Spain. Europe's only colony of monkeys clown around the cliffs. Little do they know of the miles of caves and tunnels within the rock.

Beautiful cathedral, but they were out of Champagne ;)

Luxury epitomized. You'll feel like true French royalty on this beautiful estate in the heart of champagne. Only complaint is the brasserie, whose bland pedestrian fare doesn't deserve to share the grounds.

Wonderful way to spend a day outside of Paris. The gardens aren't as affected by the crowds as the palace itself is.

A wonderful place for lunch, despite the heavily touristed street. View is great, service fast and food delicious. I'd recommend the duck confit omelette.

Modern, comfortable rooms; fantastic breakfast; friendly staff; but the best part is Tara, the little yorkie, that greets each traveler.

You're a tourist visiting the gardens and you need a bite to eat. Of the three traps here, I'm pretty sure this is the least bad option. Bon appetite!
