Fun fact: for almost 200 years the motto of the USA was "E Pluribus Unum" (Latin for "from many, one"). Just over 60 years ago, during the Cold War with the USSR, we changed it to "In God We Trust" as a reaction against Communism (which is secular).

At a time when the president decides not to enact sanctions against Russia for election hacking, despite the bi-partisan and nearly unanimous voting of CAATSA into law, it seems oddly nonsensical to point out a past when we did take at least some symbolic action against the USSR.

Of course I also found the attention to our history as 13 colonies a bit nonsensical, when we are today dealing with an oppressive government and trying to blame our problems on immigration.

If you can't donate, thoughts and/or prayers are needed.
Thoughts and Prayers to the family of a local agent.

He will be out of work for months while healing, he will be about 2 hours from home where Dee will stay in a hotel as much as she can to be near him.

To be spread far and wide:
I agree with +Karl Auerbach that this needs dissemination as widely as possible with a high level of urgency.

There is a need to limit the impulsiveness of the child in the Oval Office.

I refer to the temperamental orange three year old that needs a nap. I recommend a long dirt nap, but it is not my call.

Jefferson's Letter to the Danbury Baptists
The Final Letter, as Sent
To messers. Nehemiah Dodge, Ephraim Robbins, & Stephen S. Nelson, a committee of the Danbury Baptist association in the state of Connecticut.

Gentlemen

The affectionate sentiments of esteem and approbation which you are so good as to express towards me, on behalf of the Danbury Baptist association, give me the highest satisfaction. my duties dictate a faithful and zealous pursuit of the interests of my constituents, & in proportion as they are persuaded of my fidelity to those duties, the discharge of them becomes more and more pleasing.

Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between Church & State. Adhering to this expression of the supreme will of the nation in behalf of the rights of conscience, I shall see with sincere satisfaction the progress of those sentiments which tend to restore to man all his natural rights, convinced he has no natural right in opposition to his social duties.

I reciprocate your kind prayers for the protection & blessing of the common father and creator of man, and tender you for yourselves & your religious association, assurances of my high respect & esteem.

Th Jefferson
Jan. 1. 1802.

Contact your congresspeople. All of them. Senator Markley's motion under the CRA has to pass..
For those in the US, you can still call your Congress reps...
