Had the opportunity to do a portrait session of my friend and Patriot Guard Rider, Jeff. He dedicates a lot of his time to the fallen soldiers of our country and rides year around... even in freezing temps! The day we shot this it was below freezing, so needless to say, we didn't get a whole lot of shots in before wrapping up... due to my hands freezing and going numb, Jeff was fine. :) It was incredibly windy out this day so I couldn't use any large softboxes or umbrellas, but as it worked out, bare strobes seemed to, in my eye, create the best look I was after any ways. This was lit simply with two bare flashes, one for him and one for the bike, both at camera left. I triggered both of those flashes with another on camera flash. I did the black and white conversion in post. Except for the freezing cold, this was a fun shoot!
