John's Pizzeria
260 West 44th Street, New York, NY 10036
John's is the quintessential classic New York pizzeria and in my opinion, one of the best. While the dive-y interior may not inspire confidence in first-time visitors, the flavorful pies speak for themselves. In fact once you taste the pizza every seemingly 'negative' detail about this place becomes that much more charming - ie the flat fountain soda (RC Cola fyi), the ancient too-shallow booths and the walls lined with kitschy photos of famous visitors. As it is a tourist attraction, lines have a tendency to form so go very early in the evening or during off-hours.
