My wife and I had been wanting to eat here so we came in this past Friday evening for dinner. Our first server was apparently getting ready to go off shift because we were neglected the whole time. She was in a hurry and really rude. she also forgot to order part of of meal and we didn't receive it until the new server (who we did not know was taking over until the end ) came up to us. I am writing this review because of the biggest offense was, we ordered the nightly special that was on the board. It was not mentioned by her, OR the board that it had mushrooms in the meal. My wife who is highly allergic to them took a huge bite of mushrooms! we told our new server about this, he apologized and was really nice but didn't even comp our meal. she couldn't even eat her dinner! My wife was ill that evening and if she had eaten more she would have spent the night in the hospital. all that, and we were still stuck paying a hundred dollars for a meal that was inedible. We won't be back.

We met some friends here for lunch twice now. There is patio seating now, which is awesome for dogs. I love the pickle jar, pretzels, soups and salads. Their daily sandwich is also good. And nothing beats the craft beers on draft!

Great beer list and awesome apps. Didn't do dinner here (a bit pricey) but looked DELICIOUS and Im definitely coming back for real food. Loved the vibe in here and a friendly staff. Might be harder with a big group

Monk's Kettle, I want to badly to love you. They have an amazing selection of beer that is **unreasonably expensive**. There is simply no excuse for charging $18 for 4oz of Cascade Apricot (it might actually be more expensive than that, can't remember). The food alternates between over-salted and bland. Will not return.

If you enjoy a good craft beer, then this is the place for you. They have a bible-sized menu of beers (both bottled and on tap). They also have yummy foods, but it can get quite packed and hard to get a table to enjoy the food. That's the big downside is that there isn't much room to hang by the bar and chat with friends. It can sometimes feel like the place is bursting at the seams, and I'd rather go elsewhere. The great part of SF is there are lots of good places to drink beer.

This is the best bar I've been to in SF. Fantastic beer selection, staff is amazing and ambiance is great. The food is amazing, but really expensive. It's a small place and can get pretty busy. Great for a date.

Really extensive beer menu and friendly staff. Tiny dining space so a bit of a squeeze for a party larger than 5. The poor hostess perches on a stool in a corner next to the door. Food selection is limited but tasty. But would skip the desserts for more beer.

I enjoyed the beer selection. It had a few beers that I hadn't seen anywhere else and the wait staff were incredibly helpful. I thought the food was alright but it could have just been what I ordered.
