Ok I need help here.. I am reading about Samsung/Google and Apple. nothing new I know but here is my rub-

"Apple claims that 10 Samsung products, including the Galaxy S3, infringe five patents covering a range of user-interface designs for the iOS software that powers iPhones and iPads, including features like the slide-to-unlock function, automatic spelling corrections, and the ability for a user to make a call by clicking on a phone number within a Web page or e-mail instead of having to dial it separately."

Now I know that Hangeout and Skype could make PC calls by clicking on the phone number in a web-browser over a PC. How is that any different in a PED? just cause it is a phone? I have an idea what the replies will be but give me a break is this just costing us money? If you are an iPhone fan and if you are Android fan you are paying the lawyer fees in your equipment costs... to me this is getting out of hand!
Google Inc.’s stake in the outcome of a $2 billion trial over smartphones using its Android operating system was revealed by testimony that the company indemnified Samsung Electronics Co. against some of Apple Inc.’s patent claims.

And it shouldn't be forgotten that patent laws were introduced to protect small innovators from having their ideas stolen by large companies.

Now, they're being used by large companies to stifle competition and hence, stifle innovation.

Just thought I would post this here... I know it is not a real discusion but wanted to share since I have Airlines calling me about this as well as VIP customers. So here it is... If you are going to NBAA stop by and see it and introduce yourself to me... We are in Booth # C11948. Be safe with the wind at your back!

The explosive growth of PED's (Personal Electronic Devices) has not only reinvented the way individuals work and communicate via laptops, mobile phones, digital cameras, MP3 player and other devices, it has created the need to maintain constant battery power. Thus, when traveling, individuals can be seen carrying a host of cumbersome charging cords and various adapters if they travel internationally.

What if they did not need to bring all those charging cables? AML's "IWC" is here to change that at least when you travel!

yep this is what I did tonight! Just glad that it seemed that no one was hurt! I got to direct traffic for a bit! Got to let my inner drill instructor out for a few hours!

So I was home getting ready to help JR with his home work and WAM! Train hit this truck and trailer at the intersection behind my house! SO fun times! GOOD News no one seemed hurt!

How did I do it?
I love the aviation field! I know that is a bit corny but it is true. I enjoy the friends that I have made in the aviation field and I can not stop talking about it. I am sure my son will be bitten by this bug since I see him looking up every time we are outside and an aircraft flies over. I started out in aviation as an accident I did not intend to do what I am doing today when I started. The more I moved around and learned about aviation the more I liked this field and the more I want to stick around. I have learned a lot about aviation and I look forward to learning even more in the years to come. I do not like the word “NO” you lose options when people say “No.” There is a real time and a place for NO! However words like “maybe” or “if” are even better terms to use in place of “NO.” If you want something from someone or some company the last thing you want to hear is “NO!” That is what I do best I find options that help people/companies get to what we all want. It may cost more money it could cost time but they are out there all one needs to do is know where to look and how to understand the meaning. I do not know everything but I know a lot of people that can help me. Want something and you are told “NO” let me help.

Specialties include and are not limited to: Avionics systems modifications, Aviation modifications/programs, Customer requirements and regulations, consulted on several IFE systems, designed and built purposed built products for aviation applications.
