On Neil deGrasse Tyson's planet there's governments and profit motivated corporations and nothing in-between. Private organizations like the Red Cross or the Mars Society don't exist, or are considered insignificant.
Robert, could you give an idea about why so many businesses (including the Mises Academy, I note) feel there's an advantage to not listing prices? Is there some misguided research that indicates people are more likely to engage in poor purchasing decisions if they have to exert more effort to find out a price than if it is advertised?
Shorter version: why don't you list your prices? Is it rational?
