I will start of by saying they ended up comping my entire meal. Went there today on my Birthday (early afternoon) on recommendation of a co-worker. Drove over an hour to get there.. Warm Greeting at door and seated promptly. First server was Regan and she got me my ice tea and menu. Then a large party of about 15 people came in and I was ignored by her. After fifteen minutes of sitting their waiting to order I went back to hostess and requested a new server. I was re-seated and Ashley my second sever did a good job..mostly. A Male Manger came out and apologized for my treatment and insisted he comp my meal despite my protests I would be happy to pay..but did not want to argue with him. I was a nice gesture and appreciated even if really not warranted in my viewpoint at this point. More problems then ensued..I ordered a Filet Mignon (9 oz) Medium Well and expressly requested it not be bleeding and potato with extra butter. Steak was delivered by another server and was still bleeding and red throughout cooked between rare and medium. Potato was cold. Did have extra butter Could not get Ashley's attention so flagged down another server and had everything sent back to have the steak cooked as ordered and potato warmed up. Female manager came out and apologized for me having to have food sent back. Steak and Potato re-delivered and cooked correctly if very dry. More well done then medium (well but I cut it and told the manger it was OK as by this time I just wanted to eat and leave and was not happy at all. Potato was hot this time around. Lousy steak. I ate and left (tipped the waitress not her fault she was very apologetic). I appreciated not having to pay for the meal..but by the end of the ordeal felt that was more then warranted. I WILL NOT BE BACK AND CANNOT RECOMMEND BASED ON THIS EXPERIENCE IT TO ANYONE ELSE.. I ordered pretty much the most expensive item on the menu (and what should be a prime cut moist steak) and this is the best they could do in two attempts and they are a Upper Scale Steakhouse.

The one star rating I'm giving is for Jonah, our server b/c he was the STAR of the evening. He did an excellent job. He was personable, made recommendations, was there when we needed him and not there when we didn't. The Food- VERY disappointing. I ordered the filet cooked medium rare. First time it came out, it was WELL DONE. I ordered grilled vegetables as my side order, and I kid you not there were 7 to 9 slices of squash and zucchini with a few onions and bell peppers sprinkled in. When the server sat my plate in front of me I laughed! To his credit he offered to bring me more vegetables. I declined thinking my steak would be filling and the extra vegetables might go to waste THEN I cut into my steak... Again, service was good and they came out with another steak within minutes and of course more vegetables. This time the steak was rare. OK, I'm hungry and it is apparent to me that their chef does NOT know how to cook steak which is sad b/c this IS a steak house right??? I ate the steak that had little to no flavor to it. It was a waste of meat. We then ordered dessert. The chocolate brownie with ice cream, drizzled hot fudge and salted caramel. The brownie was stale, and the salted caramel was butter that they may/may not have attempted to bring up to a caramel. Next time, I'll cook my own food. Thankfully the meal was paid for with gift cards b/c I would have a hard time justifying $78 for such a disappointing meal. Jonah got a good tip though!

Firebirds had great service and wait staff. I was able to order our kids meal first and it came out sooner than ours so she could start. The appetizer was great, Ranch Onion rings. We had stakes and they were cooked like they we asked. They made one mistake, that they caught, and took care of on our bill. We didn't really notice too much. I would recommend Firebirds.

Our favorite fine dining spot. Always good food and service. It is so popular there are times when we have quite a wait. No problem when we have a reservation though. We enjoy the design and decor of the place also. Highly recommended!!

The best steakhouse of Birmingham, AL! We just went today with my wife to celebrate our 24th anniversary to this nice restaurant. The food was simply excellent!!! Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The Coconut shrimp for appetizer was delicious. Our spinach salads were fresh, not too dry nor pouring dressing either as use to happen in some other restaurants. Nothing better than their wood fired grilled steaks! They both were juicy, tender, not overcooked and not raw either. We ordered Sirloin and they both were just perfect! The flavor was well balanced and had that "special" tasting of being wood grilled without being salty nor depraved of spices. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate browny with ice cream, and at the end we were very happy with the experience and the food. Our server was Brooke. A very nice friendly and professional person. She stayed pending of us, our drinks, and the most important, that our food was timely served so we had the time to enjoy each dish without having to rush because of the next plate was already served as use to occur in many other restaurants. Temperatures of food, consistency, flavor, and presentation were perfect! The price was a little to the high but quality of service and food always cost a little bit more. I definitely recommend this restaurant and for sure we'll go back soon. Thanks a lot Brooke!

We order lunch to go from here at least 3 times a week where I work! We are always really happy with our food and it is always a great experience. The staff is always really helpful and they do a great job getting our order together. Highly recommended!

Now they just sprinkle the pecans on the pecan crusted trout. It's just not as good as a few years ago... :( Liked the tortilla slaw. The BLT salad was good. The waitress was really nice. I loved the meatloaf.

Ordered the meatloaf what I got was a patty with a little gravy on top sum over cooked smashed potatoes the one bright spot was my green beans with glazed pecans. The wife did enjoy her steak aupoivre with scalloped potatoes. The service was good
