Hi folks,

I'm a fairly new student pilot, learning for Private Pilot in Greenwood Lake NJ.

So far I've been spending a good amount of time reading the Jeppesen books and watching their videos. In addition, I found that discussing the content with my instructor is very helpful in understanding and remembering it. But going over all the content with the instructor is an expensive exercise.

I thought it would be great to have weekly Hangouts study groups with other students to help each other prepare for the knowledge test.

We could either have a planned agenda for the Hangouts (i.e. this week we talk about Airspaces, next week about Airport Operations) or keep it more of a free-form.

Anyone here interested?

It is expensive but my instructor has let me do mostly self study with review and Q&A sessions. The one thing he insisted on teaching me is navigation.

I'm 24 hours in and just soloed this past weekend (yay!) but need to hit the books and get the knowledge test out if the way. I'm interested in group study or at least group review. Good idea!

Great video by SFDC. It shows some of the values in "enterprise social network" (I like the term "social intranet" much better).

The missing part in making this even more effective, is integrated UC for instant audio and video calling. Coming up...

Continuing our visual journey into the unexplored territories of the new connected world @ work with a video clip and graphic to explain what "working out loud" entails (just like we're thinking-out-loud here). It's something we (Change Agents Worldwide) did in collaboration with the incredibly talented folks at The Tremendousness Collective for SFDC's Dreamforce conference (starting next week). Gotta find a way to change hearts & minds - there's a better way to work!

Work out loud on Chatter and love your job!

Hey kids, it's a memorial service!
The shameless 'selfie' taken by Barack Obama, David Cameron and the Danish PM at Nelson Mandela's memorial is disappointingly light-weight

Me, too. I'm glad you're not online. I'm not presentable but I wanted to respond to your invitation. I'm off to Paris tomorrow but let's stay in touch via email. I would like us to talk more, either while you're in the course but definitely after as well. Good group tonight. I think this cohort is just super.

I'm still getting the hangup of hangouts so we'll talk sometime.

I love this place. They are trully authentic vegan, Caribbean style, and every dish is delicious. Also, the staff is super freindly. You can taste before you order. Prices are very affordable.

What an amazing electrician! After 4 nights without power (due to Sandy), we finally were able to get a generator from HomeDepot. Called Jacob late Friday and he came shortly after, found a creative way to quickly connect most of the house to the generator, and even helped fix the generator. Despite the late time and the issue with the generator (which is typically out of the scope for an electrician), Jacob was very nice, and wouldn't leave before everything worked to my satisfaction. Price was very reasonable too. I highly recommend him!

Great service! Nice, professional, not trying to oversell, not charging for an estimate. I needed to replace a couple of boiler drains ASAP as the old ones leaked. Bob came quickly, gave a reasonable estimate, went out to get the parts, came back in 20 min, fixed the problem in 10 min, and that's it. I will certainly call him again with any plumbing need.

Very decent restaurant for casual Indian dining. Friendly and fast service. Free wifi with many power outlets so it's a great place to hangout when you need to get some work done (a lot quieter and more comfortable than a Starbucks)

Highly recommended. Keshava has this extraordinary ability to dynamically adjust the class to the level of the participants without making it too difficult for beginners and too easy for the most advanced, all at the time. Each class focuses on different elements, but they all combine strength, flow, flexibility, breathing, and relaxation. Also, both teachers have many years of experience and deep Hindu roots. I've been to many different yoga places, but this one is really unique.
