A project I was fortunate enough to work on.
Today, CARE discussed the launch of our JITA social enterprise at the SKOLL World Forum. The Bangladeshi women of JITA sell both multinational and local products to remote communities. This fledgling program represents a new social model - a nonprofit/private sector hybrid that relies on making an income to sustain itself instead of money from donors.
